It started with the rise of global warming then slowly the region absorbs solar U.V radiations that result in the warming up of the layer of stratosphere. It absorb the I.R ( the infrared one) radiation emitted by the Earth's surface by reflections thus effectively trapping the heat in the layer of the earth's atmosphere called as stratosphere . further these Chemical reacts with them and forms dangerous clouds and the end is descripted in the above answer.
