An allergic reaction occurs when the immune system reacts to allergens. Allergens include pollen, dust mites, certain foods, molds, and sting of insects. These allergens trigger the production of antibodies called as immunoglobulin that initiates the cell to produce histamine that expel out the allergen through the nose, mouth, eyes, and other openings.
