The three elements that are commonly present in all connective tissues: 1. Cells. 2. Fibers. 3. Matrix/ ground substance (in which the fibers are embedded). Examples of different types of connective tissues: Loose connective tissue- fibres and cells in a matrix. Dense connective tissue- tendons and ligaments. Calcified connective tissue-bone. Blood, lymph, interstitial fluids and cartilage are also considered connective tissues.
