Answer

b. reverberating circuits

Work Step by Step

Motor effects that depend on repetitive output from a neural pool are most likely to use reverberating circuits. In a reverberating circuit, neurons stimulate one another in a linear sequence, but some neurons that occur at the end of the path send axon collaterals back to some of the beginning neurons. Reverberating circuits are used to send repetitious signals, like those that go to your diaphragm and intercostal muscles for breathing.
