Chapter 7 - Section 7.1 - Sampling Distribution, Sampling Error, and Nonsampling Errors - Exercises - Page 280: 7.1

Answer

Population Probability Distribution is the probability distribution of the population data. Suppose there are five customers in a restaurant on some day. The feedback marks given by all these five customers are : 80, 90, 85, 75, 55. A sampling distribution is the probability distribution of a sample statistic. Reconsider the population of marks given by five customers. Consider all possible samples of three marks each that can be selected, without replacement, from that population.
