For any nonzero vector v, the unit vector that has the same direction as v is $\frac{\mathbf{v}}{\left| \left| \mathbf{v} \right| \right|}$; to find this vector, divide v by its magnitude.
To find the unit vector of v, in the same direction of v, we will divide this vector v by its magnitude as shown below: $\mathbf{\hat{v}}=\frac{\mathbf{v}}{\left\| \mathbf{v} \right\|}$ Where $\left( {\hat{v}} \right)$ denotes the representation of the unit vector.
