Therefore we have to plug in $y=0$ to the equation in order to find the x-coordinate too. $2x+3y=6$ $2x+3(0)=6$ $2x=6$ $x=3$ $3$ is the $x$-intercept so $(3, 0)$ is on the line.. At the $y$-intercept we know that the point's x-coordinate will be $x=0$. Therefore we have to plug in $x=0$ to the equation in order to find the x-coordinate too. $2x+3y=6$ $2(0)+3y=6$ $3y=6$ $y=2$ $2$ is the $y$-intercept so $(0, 2)$ is on the line.
