Answer

$h(x)$ is the top function and $g(x)$ is the middle function and $f(x)$ is the bottom function

Work Step by Step

Given $f(x)=(0.7)^x, g(x)=(0.8)^x$, and $h(x)= (0.85)^x$. We see that the growth factor of $f(x)$ is the smallest of the three functions and that the growth factor of $h(x)$ is the largest of the three functions. Since all the growth factors are less than one, the functions will decay and approach zero as shown in the figure of the problem. Hence, $f(x)$ will decay faster than both $g(x) $ and $h(x)$. This suggests that $h(x)$ is the top function and $g(x)$ is the middle function and $f(x)$ is the bottom function.
