We can write the general form of the square roots property: If $x^2 = a$ where $a \geq 0$, then $x = \pm \sqrt{a}$ We can solve the incomplete quadratic equation: $4x^2 -25 = 0$ $4x^2 = 25$ $x^2 = \frac{25}{4}$ $x = \pm \sqrt{\frac{25}{4}}$ $x = \pm \frac{\sqrt{25}}{\sqrt{4}}$ $x = \pm \frac{5}{2}$ $x = -2.5~~$ or $~~x = 2.5$
