Chapter 1 - Functions and Limits - Review - Exercises - Page 96: 20

Answer

$h(x)=x+\sqrt{x}$, $g(x)=\sqrt{x} ,$ $f(x)=\displaystyle \frac{1}{x}$ and $F(x)=f\circ g\circ h(x)$

Work Step by Step

If we were using a calculator , step by step, we would 1. calculate $h(x)=x+\sqrt{x}$, 2. then take the square root out of h(x), $g(h(x))=\sqrt{h(x)}$ 3. calculate the reciprocal of $g(h(x))$, $f(g(h(x)))=\displaystyle \frac{1}{g(h(x))}$ So, $h(x)=x+\sqrt{x}$, $g(x)=\sqrt{x} ,$ $f(x)=\displaystyle \frac{1}{x}$ and $F(x)=f\circ g\circ h(x)$
