Work Step by Step

Any two binomials can be quickly multiplied by using FOIL method in which $F$ represents the product of the first term in each binomial, $O$ represents the product of the outside term, $I$ represents the product of the inside term, and $L$ represents the product of the last, or the second in each of binomial. Then we add the four products, group like terms and simplify. For example, we can use FOIL method to find the product of the binomials $5x+4$ and $2x+3$ as follows: $(5x+4)(2x+3)$ $=10x^2+15x+8x+12$ $=10x^2+22x+12.$
