Chapter 5 - Exponents and Polynomials - 5.3 - Multiplying Polynomials - Problem Set 5.3 - Page 209: 125

Answer

The answer is below.

Work Step by Step

There are many possible answers to this question. One use of the distributive property is the traditional use when a number outside of a parenthesis is distributed to everything inside the parenthesis. However, the distributive property is also used when multiply two polynomials by each other. Here are a few possible answers (though there are many): $5(x+5) = 5x+25$ $(x+3)(x+2) = x^2+5x+6$ You can also use the distributive property for trinomials, etc.
