To find out if the function is even, odd, or neither, we find $G(−x)$ and compare the result to $G(x)$: $G(x)=1-x+x^{3}$ $G(-x)=1-(-x)+(-x)^{3}$ $=1+x-x^{3}$ This does not equal $-G(x)$ or $G(x)$. Thus, $G(x)$ is neither even or odd.
