Therefore, $2^{-5}=\frac{1}{2^{5}}$ Finally, we simplify the exponent on the denominator by expansion giving us: $\frac{1}{2\times2\times2\times2\times2}=\frac{1}{4\times4\times2}=\frac{1}{32}$
