The graph was created by plugging in the x values into the equation. So when x is 0, y=8/3(0)-5 which equals -5. x =1, leads to y=8/3(1)-5 which is -7/3. Another easier to way graph this would be rising by 8 units on the graph when you moved across by 3 as the slope of the graph is 8/3. If you wanted to move to the negative x axis, you would go down 8 and move to the left by 3.
