The area of a trapezoid is given by $A=\frac{1}{2}(b_{1}+b_{2})h$ $$A=\frac{1}{2}(b_{1}+b_{2})h=\frac{1}{2}(6+6)5w$$ The area of a square is expressed by $A=s^2$ $$A_2=s^2=(5w)^2$$ Find the ratio of the areas of the trapezoid and square $$\frac{A_1}{A_2}=\frac{\frac{1}{2}(6+6)5w}{(5w)^2}=\frac{6}{5w}$$
