When we multiply fractions, we can simply multiply the numerators (tops of the fractions) by the denominators (bottoms of the fractions). We first put the whole numbers in fraction form and then we obtain: $\frac{21}{4}\times\frac{2}{3}=\frac{42}{ 12}=\frac{7}{2}$
