Hell
The introductory scene is an image of peacefully moving cars along the street and children joyfully swinging, which is harshly contrasted to the image of the Hell - rusted cars with dead people inside. The contrast of two images is also conveyed by a day and night effect. The war of people and machines is depicted here: flashes of fire are seen on the horizon. The future reigned over by machines and robots is shown - a future in which there is no place for people.
The Robots
Robots in the film are depicted as high-tech figures. T-1000 is a perfect version of robot production: it is made of metal which is capable of acquiring any form. T-1000 is an image of the ideal machine for killing – a death figure.
