I see no evidence of this information in the text.
I know that at one point Moyer offers her an antidepressant or Restoril, but Alice says she wants a “stronger” sleeping medication. I'm not sure what pills she was taking for dementia.
I think the white symbolized something. Perhaps memory or lack of memory? I'm not sure.
