Magical wards
These wards are placed around area of Moroi stronghold and protect Strigoi from entering and attacking. The wards are infused with the five elements but rely on Spirit magic the most to keep the Strigoi away.
Strigoi
The 'bad' vampires. They are made when a Moroi drains the blood of a Damphir, human or another Moroi and then refills them with Strigoi blood. They can drink all types of blood but desire Moroi blood the most. They are noted as being deathly pale and have red-ringed eyes. Sunlight is fatal to them. They are immortal and can live forever unless staked, beheaded or burnt.
Molnija Mark
This mark looks like a X. It is given to a Guardian when they make Strigoi kills. It is tattooed on the back of their necks.
Shadow Kissed
When a Spirit-user brings back another person back to life using Spirit magic. The person is said to be shadow-kissed because they have been touched by death. Rose is shadow-kissed.
