    What does the narrator tell us about his grandfather's home? What would his grandfather do with his spare money, and why would he do this?

    The door to his grandfather's home is "vast and ancient," made from the wood of an entire harraz tree. The walls and roofs are smoothed and made from sand, mud, and animal dung. The ceilings are constructed from acacia wood, palm-tree trunks, and stalks. From the outside, one might consider it to look frail, but it has stood the test of time.

    The home stands at the edge of his farming fields so that it appears to be an extension of them. In the courtyard, acacia and sunt bushes grow, and other plants sprout from the walls where water...
