    KWL about Haiti

    Kind of Activity:

    Collaborative Writing

    Objective:

    Students will be able to indicate what they know, want to know, and have learned about Haiti.

    Common Core Standards:

    CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.RL.9-10.6

    Structure:

    This exercise can be completed before or after students begin reading Krik? Krak! To begin the activity, have students take a sheet of paper and draw two lines on it, creating three columns. Students should write “Know” at the top of the first column, “Want to Know” at the top of the second, and “Learned” at the top of the third.
