English painter Frank Dicksee painted this depiction of "La Belle Dame Sans Merci" in oil in 1901. Note how Dicksee uses the knight's pose to hint at the knight's helplessness. He does not translate Keats' poetry quite as directly as Rheams does; there are no visual indications here of the "Belle Dame's" true intentions.
