The big mirror in the bathroom

The mirror symbolizes Zack's immoral life. Zack is gay, and his entire life has been characterized by sex with the same gender. At the beginning of the text, Zack shows how he has kissed various boys. Consequently, when Zack looks at the mirror, he sees his immorality and sexual identity. According to Zack, he is not surprised that he is gay because he loves what he does.

The symbolism of gay culture

Gay culture is symbolized by Zack’s strong sexual urge towards his male counterparts. Zack narrates how he engages in sex with various boys, including St Jude's guy. Zack's sexual identity illustrates the influx of same-sex marriages that have surprised the world. Based on Zack's revelations on threesome and foursome, the reader learns that the world has become dissipated.

Jenna’s blog

Jenna’s blog symbolizes openness and truth. The blog reveals things that school administrations do not want students to hear. For instance, the blog reveals why some teachers are sucked, and the challenges students face in school. Similarly, Jenna asks Zack to write a column in the blog to advise people on sexual matters. However, the school administration does not approve the blog, but Jenna and Zack are determined to push forward.
