There are many ways to connect to Great Expectations. Characters deal with conflicts and dilemmas such as unrequited love, wrestling with financial difficulties, finding a life path, and creating work-life balance. Following Pip, Estella, and other characters as they learn, struggle, succeed, and fail can prompt readers to trace the trajectory of their own lives.
