Eye in the Sky (Film) Irony

The Young Girl

Every civilized country operates in a way that prevents them from acting if doing so endangers the lives of too many innocent people. However, the U.K.'s military ignores their moral and legal framework and acts in a way that ensures the deaths of quite a few innocent people - including the life of a young girl.

Politicians

Politicians, many of whom have no military training and few of whom have any substantial involvement in the military and in military planning, make decisions about war despite not knowing much.

Intervention

Despite not having the right to intervene in a foreign country (and despite not being allowed to intervene in a foreign country, which the U.K.'s lawyers say), the U.K. ironically intervenes in the country anyway.

Drone Pilot

The drone pilot, despite being thousands of miles away from his target, not involved in the operation otherwise, and in the military, where his opinions are ignored, struggles to execute his order to eliminate the terrorists (as well as a number of innocent people as a result of his eliminating the terrorists).

Terrorists

Even though they have incredibly vital information to the United States and United Kingdom, the terrorists are ordered to be killed in Kenya rather than captured.
