Kamran Smith
Kamran is the story's protagonist. He is a high achiever in school and one of the best football players the school has ever had. In recent days, Kamran was crowned as the school's king due to his exceptional performance in football. Besides football, Kamran is a smart student, and he looks forward to graduating from West Point with good grades and joining the US Army like his brother Darius.
Kamran is dating Julia, and they have become great friends, hoping to marry sometime in the future. Kamran is charming and funny, making it impossible for Julia to ignore him despite coming from different social classes. Julia comes from a wealthy and respectable family, but she cannot resist Kamran's romantic charm. Things take a drastic turn for Kamran when his brother is reported as the main suspect in the terrorist attack, which involved bombing the US embassy in Turkey.
Darius
Darius is Kamran's brother, depicted as a sharp man who performed well in school and secured himself a chance to join the US Army as a Ranger. Later, Darius is posted to work in Afghanistan, where he is alleged to have changed his behavior and joined Al-Qaida to launch an attack on the US Embassy in Turkey. Darius claims responsibility for the attack, and this lands his family in trouble because they are arrested and put into custody for interrogation.
Julia
Julia is a young woman described as cheerful, outgoing, and optimistic. Julia is a great player in school, and she is crowned as Queen. Besides being an intelligent girl in her studies, she also performs well in sports. Julia comes from a wealthy and respectable family, but that does not prevent her from dating Kamran, a young man she finds charming and optimistic.
Kamran’s parents
The author depicts Kamran's parents as hardworking and determined to give their children the best in life. Their son Darius successfully finished school and joined US Army. Kamran is also doing well, and they are ready to support him in actualizing his dream. Unfortunately, sad news reaches them that Darius is a terrorist and is on the top list of wanted terrorists in bombing the US embassy in Turkey.
