    The Bride's Diary

    Kind of Activity:

    Individual Writing

    Objective:

    Students will be able to explore the Bride’s inner thoughts and motivations and to practice creative writing skills

    Common Core Standards:

    CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.W.9-10.3; CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.RL.9-10.3

    Structure:

    The audience is given few clues pertaining to the Bride’s inner thoughts and emotions during Acts One and Two. We can guess about how she feels about her fiancé, Leonardo, and her upcoming wedding, but the Bride herself says very little. Why do students think Lorca might have made that choice?
