The Bhagavad Gita in Images
Kind of Activity:
Build on the understanding of the book by finding visual resources to support concepts.
Common Core Standards:
Ask students to pick a chapter, theme, object, concept or character in the book. Students spend 5-10 minutes using the internet to research what they have chosen. Ask them to pick two images that represents the object, scene or idea. Note: The images should be in the context of the Bhagavad Gita, not images of unrelated content (for example, a fig tree other than the one described in the literature).
Provide ideas if needed, such as:
- The battlefield
