Why USC?


Roaring in the crowds of the 2008 Rose Bowl Stadium and immersed within a sea-of-gold-and-cardinal, I chanted with the Trojans to the USC Fight Song after the FIRST touchdown! That game, Trojans won against UCLA Bruins 28-7.

At 6-years-old, I was mesmerized by the strength in unity of the USC family. I love that USC’s tight-knit community champions diversity, and I’m especially drawn to Marshall’s emphasis on pushing their students to be global citizens. Through programs like Global Summer Internship Program, I can explore my entrepreneurial boundaries in cities like London. At Columbia’s Venture Creation Program, I experienced a similar global perspective. I worked with students from thirty countries and learned the fundamentals of economics; it’s my dream to continue immersing myself in new perspectives in college.

I am also drawn to Marshall’s focus on experiential learning, a style that mirrors my own: I apply my knowledge to pitch my budget tracker--Trackify--in entrepreneurship competitions like Diamond Challenge. There, I finished top-16 in the nation and received an invitation to compete in Shark Tank Juniors!
