Pranking as a Creative Talent

Every person has a creative side, and it can be expressed in many ways: problem solving, original and innovative thinking, and artistically, to name a few. Describe how you express your creative side.


In our increasingly madcap age, the great American pastime has shifted from baseball to pranking. I concur by aspiring to place staplers in jello, just like Jim Halpert from The Office. My creativity isn’t expressed through art but through the innovative ways I have fun.

As someone who’s always ready to try new things, I fondly reflect on building boats to ride across grape-juice-filled swimming pools, dyeing my hair every color of the rainbow, and dragging six-foot-tall friends onto 400-foot-tall drop-rides despite only being 5’2”.I cherish memories of dares with my pack of friends. For example, we occasionally buy 200 chicken nuggets and finish them in under twenty minutes, unintentionally overwhelming the McDonald's employee. Eventually, we sprawled two tables with nuggets, attracting stares from other customers. Such antics created inside jokes like my group bringing entire chickens to share during class.

Even today, I treasure hectic Key Club volunteering memories like working in food bank distributions, cheering on marathon runners at 3 AM, attending cultural festivals, and decorating Rose Parade floats.
