    Objective:

    Students will read an account of modern-day lambing and compare it to Herriot’s experience in the early-to-mid-1900s.

    Structure:

    Students should read “Could you make it as a modern day shepherd?” the excerpt from James Rebanks’ book The Shepherd’s Life (https://www.telegraph.co.uk/men/11475493/Could-you-handle-life-as-a-modern-day-shepherd.html).
