Puzzle or confuse


Adjective used to describe an action or idea that goes against the status quo and undermines something

Coming-of-age novel

A novel that deals explicitly with the process of becoming an adult. 'A Complicated Kindness' is a coming-of-age novel

First person narration

A form of narration where the narrator addresses the reader as 'I' or 'me'

Fundamentalist (religion)

A form of religious belief that allows for no deviation from what teachings tell its followers. Fundamentalists see the world in black and white only
