how would you describe Stonehill's attitude toward Mattie?

Stonehill was very patient with Mattie at first.... at least until she told him she had no use for the ponies and wanted to be reimbursed for her father's horse and saddle. After that he lost patience quickly. He saw her as a nuisance.
