Pinned In
Thelma & Louise are surrounded by law enforcement with nowhere to go. Their running from the law is over. Ironically, Thelma proposes they keep going, which they do. They drive right over the cliff's edge of the Grand Canyon to their deaths rather than go to prison for the rest of their lives.
Detective Hal
Hal is a Detective who is in pursuit of Thelma and Louise after they are accused of murdering a man. He is bound to arrest them, but ironically we see him grow to understand their point of view in a way that he wants to help them more than to put them behind bars.
J.D.
Thelma convinces Louise to let J.D. a young hitchhiker join them on their journey as she sympathizes for the young man. Ironically, he ends up stealing all of Louise's life savings after sleeping with Thelma, leaving them broke.
Attempted Rape
Harlan begins to undress Thelma without her consent and when she resists he begins to try to rape her. Louise stops him and the incident is over. Ironically, Harlan baits them as he screams that he should've raped Thelma, and with that foolish rage he loses his life as Louise shoots him in the chest and kills him.
Weekend Away
Thelma and Louise are best friends simply looking for a weekend to get away from their lives together and enjoy some peace. Ironically, their trip turns out to be one that puts them on the run from the authorities as they are hunted for murder.
