The Persona

The persona draws his inspiration from the White Goddess. The inspiration is so strong that the persona is not discouraged from finding the White Goddess. The persona adores the White Goddess despite sober men’s and the saints’ condemnation of her.

The White Goddess

The White Goddess in the primary focus of the poem. She is beautiful. The person must overcome the challenges of ice and other obstacles along the way to see her. Despite the past betrayal that is associated with the White Goddess, she inspires the persona in significant ways.
