Bringing in Technology

Throughout the study of John Polidori's The Vampyre, students with disabilities should have the option of using dictation software for writing assignments, text-to-speech software for reading assignments, or any other ADA-mandated technological accommodations.

In this lesson plan, students will be given several opportunities to use modern technology to engage with The Vampyre. The most prominent of these is the Day 1 Activity "Prezi Race: The Dreadful Summer of 1816," during which students will be asked to use the Prezi software to present information about the participants in the ghost-story contest that led to the creation of The Vampyre.
