The Name of the Wind

Writing history

Rothfuss wrote The Name of the Wind while working on his Bachelor of Arts in English. He drew inspiration from the idea that he wanted a completely new kind of book without the generic characteristics of fantasy.[1]

A sequel titled The Wise Man's Fear was released on March 1, 2011, by DAW Books.
