Objective:

Students will be able to analyze and critique the strengths and limitations of the film adaptation of the novel and how it differs from the novel.

Structure:

Continue to watch the 2015 film adaption of The Martian. Use the beginning of the activity to ask students what they think about the film so far. What are their first impressions? What differences have they noticed so far? The remainder of the activity will be used to watch as much of the film as possible before the third and final part of this three-day activity.
