The Magician’s Elephant
The magician's elephant is a symbol of possibility in a difficult situation. Peter and his sister, Adele, are orphans separated while kids. Adele lives in an orphanage while Peter lives with the family that adopted him. When Peter visits a fortuneteller to know his sister's whereabouts, he tells him to look for an elephant if he wants to reunite with his sister. Peter thinks it is impossible to find an elephant. However, the following day Peter finds a magician performing, and he commands an elephant to appear, then it disappears. Miraculously, later Peter finds his sister. Therefore, the appearance of the elephant is a miracle that signifies possibilities amidst difficult situations.
Adele’s dreams
Adele has lived in the orphanage for six years, and she has had strange dreams about an elephant. Adele's strange dreams symbolize her reunion with her long-lost brother. In her dreams, Adele sees an elephant that comes to rescue her. Coincidentally, the fortuneteller tells Peter to follow an elephant that will lead him to his sister, who is still alive.
The symbolism of compassion
Leo and Gloria symbolize compassion for their decision to adopt Peter and Adele. When Peter finally reunites with his sister, they find a new home where they are treated with love, care, and compassion.
