The Last Wild Summary

The Last Wild Summary

Kester Jaynes is a twelve-year-old boy living in a world where all animals have gone extinct. He was taken from his family six years ago and committed to the Spectrum Hall Academy for troubled children. Since then, he hasn't spoken a word. While other children in the facility are troubled, Kester finds it hard to believe that he is troubled.

One day, a flock of pigeons and a cockroach eagerly burst into Kester's room. They mysteriously inform him that a deadly virus is rapidly sweeping across the world, wiping out all animals. The only hope they have is Kester who surprisingly possesses the ability to communicate with animals. The animals need his help, and he's unable to turn them down.

The pigeons help Kester escape the facility. Together, they embark on a journey to a land where the last animals in existence reside. On arrival, they are joined by a stag, a baby wolf, a mouse, a cockroach trained in combat, and Polly, a human girl. They are on an important mission to save the last of the animals and save all of humanity.

The group of heroes will embark on a journey that will uncover the catastrophic damage inflicted on the animals and the environment by human activity. Humans and animals will work together to find the cure and save life as we know it. They will come across evil forces that will attempt to undermine their heroic efforts, but they will not back down.
