Ben
The more senior, powerful hitman. Ben reads the newspaper throughout the play, getting worked up by the stories of violence. He nitpicks Gus over his ways of speaking and behaving.
Gus
The more junior hitman on the job. Gus moves around nearly constantly in the play, going into the bathroom and kitchen multiple times. He annoys Gus with his poor memory and probing questions. In a twist ending, he is the target who arrives at the door.
Wilson
Ben and Gus's boss, discussed by the men but never seen onstage.
