Chapter 8 - Dynamics II: Motion in a Plane - Conceptual Questions - Page 196: 1

Answer

Uniform circular motion is when an object is traveling in a circle at a constant speed. Therefore, concepts relating to a single variable should be constant. However, vectors depending on direction will not be constant.

Work Step by Step

Therefore, the speed is constant, the angular velocity is constant (although it is not at the perimeter of the circle it is moving at the same speed at its current point), and the magnitude of the net force is constant. Velocity and centripetal acceleration are different. This is because they are vectors and while magnitude is constant the direction changes.
