When you tune the radio to your favorite radio station, you are adjusting the "capacitance" in the LC receiving circuit so that the natural frequency of the circuit matches the desired station’s frequency.
The LC circuit then resonates with the incoming radio waves, allowing you to select out that station's signal from the many electromagnetic waves that are present.
