Chapter 2 - Working Toward Sustainability - Critical Thinking Questions - Page 56: 2

Answer

My understanding changes when I think of the Everglades as a set of interacting systems because it makes the idea of working toward sustainability more attainable. If the Everglades were just one single system with major issues, it would be overwhelming to decide which actions to take. Since the Everglades is a set of systems, each system can take its own steps to attain better sustainability.

Work Step by Step

Each area has its own strengths and weaknesses when it comes to sustainability, so individualized plans would better attain sustainability.
