Answer
Draw the skeleton for the second chair and put the substituents moved clockwise by 1 time.
Work Step by Step
1. Draw the flipped chair skeleton (The skeleton for second chairs).
You can find it on page 126, in the resolution of the Exercise 6.30
2. First, put the numbers on both chairs, the one in the exercise, and the one we just drew.
- In the second one, you need to start counting by a position after the first one (Go clockwise.).
- In the drawing above, we started counting from the top right on the first chair, and in the second one, from the bottom right.
3. Identify the position of the substituents.
- A simple line = Methyl group.
- Methyl, Carbon 6, "up".
- Methyl, Carbon 1, "down".
4. Put the substituents on the second chair, but remember that you moved the numbers, so the substituents will move too.
