Chapter 20 - Viruses, Bacteria, and Archaea - Assess - Page 372: 14

Answer

e. All of these are correct.

Work Step by Step

Archaea are distinct from bacteria for many reasons. Some archaea form methane and are called methanogens. Each of them have different rRNA sequences. Archaea, unlike bacteria, do not have peptidoglycan cell walls. Lastly, archaea are indeed more closely related to eucaryotes than bacteria. They share some of the same ribosomal proteins, initiate transcription in the same manner, and have similar types of RNA.
