Answer

The ribosomes turn the genetic code within DNA into flesh and blood by creating proteins that do things like repair, catalyze reactions, and aid in the transport of essential molecules in the cell. They create proteins by matching mRNA to tRNA and building a polypeptide chain which is then folded into a specific 3D shape that will be the functional protein.

Work Step by Step

Protein synthesis starts in the nucleus where a DNA code is read by mRNA. The mRNA message is sent out to the ribosome where it connects with a complimentary tRNA code that brings with it amino acids which connect together by peptide bonds to form the polypeptide chain (when folded, a protein).
