Iron deficiency can can potentially effect the human body in many ways including some forms of anemia. Hemoglobin is a molecule that carries oxygen throughout the body that requires the presence of trace iron. Low iron results in lowered hemoglobin, which in turn results in the body being less able to transport oxygen throughout the body.
