Answer
The polyp and medusa forms of the cnidarian life cycle are similar in that both bear stinging tentacles for feeding and have a somewhat bell-like shape. Also, they share the same basic form with a single opening to their gastrovascular cavity. In contrast, the polyp maybe colonial and it does not move. Also, the polyp tends to have a narrower rounded shape than the medusa.
